Moving with Steve Bissette
This weekend a bunch of us CCS'ers helped our prof. Steve Bissette move a small portion of his crap from his old house to a storage facility. It was a gorgous drive and a fun afternoon.
Once at Steve's we were introduced to his wife, son and cats.
That there is Lizzie with Blair.
Steve gave us a quick tour of his pad, and showed us some of his coolest toys.
This particular toy Steve has had since he was about five years old. It used to shoot balls out of it's spine.
This is only a small portion of Steve's comic collection in his attic, or as some of us like to call it, "the fire trap."
We had about seven vehicles and a rented moving-truck. Here we are working hard.

This picture was taken from Steve's garage, from the second floor window by Marge. It's a little blurry, and most of us are a pretty spent from all the action. We moved boxes from Steve's garage to the vehicles for almost an hour I think. Maybe less. We did a lot of work in a short period of time because we had so many people working together.
Working together and sharing.
And learning.
And growing.
This is the biggest earth worm I've seen, I think. Keep in mind that Becca's hand is actually three feet long.
I picked it up, but it wiggled free mid-shot.
After working hard we were treated to a lovely meal of spaghetti and lasagna. It was delicious. Thanks again Steve & Marge.
Dennis and Alex are glove buddies. And Root Beer buddies. And Moving Buddies?
I chose to drink the cutest Sprite ever.
After eating we drove to Steve's storage shed and dumped everything. It was a nice drive and a nice day. I learned so much about moving, and comics, and life, and Neil Gaiman, and humanity.
But the most important thing I learned that day was that smoking makes you look AWESOME.

Wow, it was pretty chilly Sunday, and there were nightcrawlers out? Weird. Of course, the juxtaposition of earthworms and pasta is something I heartily approve of -- thanks, Joe and Becca! Great photo record of the first momentous moving day of this move!
