Moving Bissette Again
Last weekend a group of CCS students had the pleasure of man-handling Steve Bissette's boxes of comics, movies, and old clothes. We also got to see his new house, which will bring our beloved instructor closer to White River Junction, and in doing so bringing his wife and her great cooking.
Steve really played his cards right, not only did he provide us with a wonderfull breakfast, but also with cats. Penina likes cats.
Penina likes juice.
Steve's basement was pure geek heaven. I stole countless items, pretending I was "helping Steve move."
I'm kidding Steve.
I can count them.
I had to in order to put them up for sale on Ebay.
Whatever Philip Michael Thomas has Penina got it the moment she touched the VHS box.
Seriously though Steve, you have an incredible collection. I'd like to recommend your basement for the next CCS field trip. Although... a group of young adults in a cartoonist's basement sounds an awful lot like a synopsis for one of those scary movies you're always pushing.
Here we see Bryan & Alex stumbling across Steve's Vin Diesel poster collection...
Eventually we did do some actual moving.
My car Douglas David Supreme Estaban even lent a helping hood.
And so did Jaci.
Morgan & Jaci were actually standing by my trunk in these poses when I walked by. When I came back ten minutes later they were still there leaning and pointing, so I took a picture. It was weird.
Thanks to Marge for taking these group pictures.
And thanks to everyone in the photo for dealing with my itchy camera finger.
Gabby was alseep, leaning on the boxes and quietly crushing Jaci who was too passive to wake him up and tell him. So I passively took a picture.
Steve bought everyone drinks on the way up and back from his house. Thanks Steve!
I recommend the Mint Lime Soda. Suprisingly good.
That sign says, "Butts"
Took a long time fitting Sam's ass into that little bucket though.
Jaci hid in the booth during Sam's Butt Fiasco. SBF '06
Steve B's new home! Congratulations Steve!
The time between these two pictures span about three hours:
Jaci stood there the entire time complaining about her wrist. Apparently she "draws comics." Whatever that means.
I think, if I were to follow normal blogging ettiquette I would make one of those punctuation smiley faces at this point. It would be smiling and winking as if to tell Jaci that I'm just kidding. I don't know how to make those though. :"{}_)*Smile%^#$ Wink.
Back of Steve's new house. It took a lot of effort to keep him from wasting the daylight going down the slide over and over.
This is the original art for Tyrant #4. It was awesome to see in person.
Thanks again for everything, Steve. We had a lot of fun. Count Bec and I in if you ever need help again.
And thanks again to you too, Marge.
